This was me at over 400 pounds. I was exhausted, unhealthy, and honestly just going through the motions. I still remember sitting in the doctor’s office when he told me I probably wouldn’t live another five years if I kept living the way I was. That moment stopped me in my tracks. I had a wife and four boys who needed me, and I knew I had to make a serious change. That conversation was the turning point that started everything you're seeing here.
This is where I am today. I’m down nearly 200 pounds, feeling stronger, clearer, and more alive than ever. I didn’t follow some trendy diet or quick fix. I focused on real food, built healthy routines, and learned how to use fasting as a tool to support my body. Intermittent fasting, extended fasts, and smarter eating habits became part of my daily life. That journey became the foundation of Murray’s Kitchen, and now I get to share what’s worked for me with others who are ready to take control of their health too.
This is my reason for everything. My wife and our four sons are what kept me going when it got tough. I didn’t just want to be around. I wanted to live life with them. With four energetic boys, staying active is part of our everyday routine. From weekend hikes and backyard football to camping trips with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, I wanted to be the dad who sets up the tents, cooks over the fire, and dives into the adventure right alongside them. This kitchen is where I found a healthier version of myself, and now it’s where I help others start that journey too, one meal and one choice at a time.
